A pretty felted needlecase to keep all of your needles and pins handy.
I've made the needlecase out of felt which I handmade using the wet
felting method. The white merino wool has additions of Wensleydale curly
wool locks and pure silk strands which can be seen clearly on image
three.
The design on the front has been made by felting a variety of
vintage and antique silk fabrics into the merino wool and then
enhancing with machine stitching. French knot hand embroidery using
antique silk threads gives even more texture.The needlecase closes with a vintage pale green ribbon tie for easy access.
Measures 12cms x 10cms (4.7" x 3.9" ) at the widest points when closed.
When open it is 24cms x 10cms (9.4" x 3.9")
